When faced with critical legal questions, municipalities must have the assurance that they are being represented by an expert. With over 30 years of experience in this arena, Rick Samson is now available to assist you with your needs through his innovative approach that makes it cost effective to access his expertise. Shouldn’t you be represented by a pro?
For over 40 years, Rick has had the privilege of representing many different municipalities and special districts – each with their own distinctive personality, from which has evolved the firm’s mission “to be a strong legal advocate for Boards and to ‘Live to Serve’.”
Rick was elected to two terms as a county attorney in Kansas and to two terms on a school board in Colorado. Having been both a candidate and an elected official, Rick has a keen insight in to the stresses confronting elected officials and often his advice is a mixture of both legal expertise and political experience. He has the knowledge and experience to discern and anticipate the practical effect of issues and decisions pending before his clients. His significant understanding and involvement with local entities allows him to enter into trusted relationships with elected and appointed officials.
It doesn’t stop there however.
Committed to providing proactive counsel when it is needed most, Rick attends all board and commission proceedings. This allows him to recognize potential legal issues that arise during such meetings which allows him to offer immediate advice when appropriate.
This experience allows advice to be practical and problem solving rather than litigious, litigation being the last resort; however, when litigation is necessary Rick has been very successful in representing his municipal clients:
